10 July 2001 Band Season Soon to Begin The East Marching Band will soon begin practice for their 2001 competition season. Starting with a week of music practice beginning July 23rd, the band plans to keep up their hectic summer schedule. The new band director, Scott Brehm, promises a regimen of discipline with a very positive slant to maintain the band's momentum. The show promises to be demanding and difficult, a hallmark of East Band pageantry, although several options are still being discussed (until then we will refrain from releasing specific information about the 2001 show). Website Updates So you've checked out the East Marching Band Website throughout the off-season and thought to yourself, "Oh no, yet another dead marching band website." Fortunately, it was only "hibernating". I have revised the website extensively for the 2001 season, just as I normally do each band season. I have also set the site up to allow even the lower resolution users to enjoy the website (640x480), no longer requiring 800x600. Also, the website will look more uniform in the higher resolutions, without having odd stretching effects or the like. If there are any problems, email me at joshuadramsey@hotmail.com. |
