Fantastic Inaugural Performances

The 2001 East Marching Band was "unveiled" this past weekend in a series of spectacular performances. On Thursday, August 23rd, the band performed at East's 2001 Fall Kickoff, where the band performed their pre-game show music, as well as Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5" as a teaser for the 2001 field show. On Friday, August 24th, the band performed their complete competition show during halftime at East's football home opener. Finally, on Saturday, August 25th, the musical portion of the competition show was performed at the fundraiser in Tracy Park. The performances were extremely well received, heralding in what looks to be a bright future for the band in 2001.

Yet Another Busy Weekend

The band will be performing their 2001 field show once again at East's second football game on Friday, August 31. The game will be at home (vs. Landmark), and will begin at approximately 7:00pm. The band will also be performing in the 2001 River Days Parade on Saturday, September 01. The parade begins at 11:00am.
