08 September 2002 East Tartan Regiment to Defend Championship at Lancaster As 2001 Lancaster "Band of Gold Invitational" Grand Champions, the East Tartan Regiment will defend its championship at the 22nd Annual "Band of Gold Invitational" on 14 September 2002. As last year, the Regiment faces some of the toughest class competition it is likely to see in 2002, as some of the best Class C bands in the state--such as local buddies Green High School, and East friends Waterford--will also participate in the competition. Not only this, but Class B is packed with worthy bands, as well. As of now, it is unknown whether Lancaster will continue its tradition of putting the smaller Class C and B bands in one competition and the larger Class A and AA bands in a separate competition. If not, then East will also face more of the best bands in the area and state, such as Berne Union (Class A), Beavercreek (Class AA), and Hilliard Davidson (Class AA). All in all, at all levels of competition, the Lancaster "Band of Gold Invitational" promises to be exciting and entertaining. Lancaster Schedule Class C 5:00 - Federal Hocking Marching
