12 September 2005 ETR to Perform at Tipp City The East Tartan Regiment will begin its 2005 competition season this Saturday at Tipp City, an OMEA sanctioned event being held near Springfield, Ohio. Debuting its 2005 competition show "Ain't it Pathetique? Beethoven's Piano Sonata in C Minor," the Regiment will be competing in Class C amongst an overall field of 14 bands. Under the direction of Scott Brehm (in his fifth year as ETR director), the band hopes to entertain both judge and audience with this visually stunning show developed by longtime ETR music arranger, drill writer, and visual designer Bill Burroway. This year's ETR is the smallest on record with only 25 performing members, but one must remember the ETR's traditional rallying cry: "size matters not." The band is excited. The fans are anxious. The competition is worthy. Let the 2005 season begin! Good luck ETR on the start of a brand new season! Good luck to all bands embarking on yet another exciting season! |
