ETR Receives Second Place Band at Ironton

On Saturday, 14 October 2006, the East Tartan Regiment competed in Class C competition at Ironton's Buckeye Classic contest. The band received 3rd Place Auxiliary, 2nd Place Percussion and 2nd Place Band awards in Class C. ETR also narrowly missed OMEA State Finals qualification for the third straight week. (Although the overall score has increased substantially each week, the regiment has missed qualification by only 1 caption rating at their last three contests.)

The East Tartan Regiment will travel to Bloom Carroll next weekend for its final contest of the year. The band hopes to achieve its 13th straight OMEA State Finals qualification. (At 12, ETR has the longest streak in the region, qualifying every year since 1994.) ETR looks forward to the challenge and looks forward to joining its fellow competitors for the final time in 2006.
