Rock Hill (OH) Competition - 1st Place Class C Band, Overall Grand Champion

Ironton (OH) Competition - Superior Rating (only ratings were given; no placement)

Vinson (WVa) Competition - 1st Place Class B Band, 3rd Place Overall

Athens Competition - 2nd Place Class B Band, 3rd Place Overall

Nelsonville-York (OH)Competition - 1st Place Class C Band (No Overall Awards Given)

Dawson-Bryant (OH) Competition - 1st Place Class C Band, Overall Grand Champion

Cabell-Midland (WVa.) Competition - 1st Place Class A Band, Overall Grand Champion

Portsmouth West (OH) Competition - 1st Place Class B Band, 3rd Place Overall

15th Annual Blue & White Invitational - Reynoldsburg : Grand Champion (East hosted this competition, and did not compete)

Marietta (OH) Competition - 1st Place Class C Band, 4th Place Overall

OMEA State Finals Superior Rating

After receiving a II (Excellent) rating in 1996, the band once again reclaimed their position as a State Finals Superior band, receiving the I (Superior) rating in 1997 OMEA State Finals Competition.
